We are Emily and Helen
Also known as Miss B and Mrs S!
This is more than just a website. We’re full-time teachers, working mums, and self-confessed history and geography nerds who also happen to enjoy dressing up as medieval doctors and climate activists (don’t ask). We created this space because we know how hard it is to find resources that are actually useful – for students, parents and for teachers.
Here, you’ll find revision materials, bite-sized learning, and a lot of dry humour to make it all slightly more bearable.
And because we don’t like to stop at ‘just resources,’ we’re launching our own version of ‘camps’ – but don’t think tents and marshmallows. Think summer school with energy, creativity, and maybe the occasional costume change.
Oh, and a podcast is coming soon – because we clearly don’t have enough on our plates.

Our Mission is Simple
TO BRING FUN AND JOY INTO HUMANITIES
HumsMums is more than just a website. We’re working mums, full-time humanities teachers, and people who think nothing of spending a Tuesday dressed as a Strawberry or Claudius Galen – all in the name of education.
We built HumsMums because we know how hard it is to juggle teaching, parenting, and still trying to make lessons exciting. This is a place where you’ll find resources, revision help, and ideas that actually work – with a side of dry humour.
We’re also launching our own take on ‘camps’ – not tents and singalongs, but summer schools packed with creativity, fun, and learning that sticks along with SO MUCH MORE!
